In early October a new El Sabio opens in Newbury at 5-6 Weavers Walk
with the same quality.

It was great to
be part of this year's food show
where we had our little stand.I was demonstrating how to cook a meat
paella from scratch.

Fine Food and Wine show:
We will be there again with several cooking demonstrations.
This year we will not have a stand but I will demonstrate "How to cook
3 tapas within 10 minutes". I will show you how easily you can prepare
and cook just a few dishes within this sort time.You can forget the
ready made packaged tapas dishes forever.These are going to be simple

Fine Food and Wine show
El Sabio cooked up a storm at the Winchester Cathedral Fine Food and
Wine Fest. Everyone joined the fun, enjoyed the food and met the new
family-run authentic Spanish Tapas Bar & Restaurant team from
Winchester!

Fine Food and Wine show and Raymond Blanc
Two weeks before the restaurant opened, Attila and his wife exhibited
at
the annual Fine Food and Wine Fest at Winchester Cathedral where he
cooked and served paella for hundreds of visitors. He even had time
(just) to have a few words with the other new restaurateur in
Winchester, Raymond Blanc, who was himself demonstrating the
preparation of many dishes.
The response from the public to the opening of a tapas bar was
enthusiastic and several hundred visitors provided their details so
they could receive updates on El Sabio.
Opening
Night - May 16
The restaurant had its opening night on May 16th when diners were
treated to music by song-writer Nick Tann and guitarist Richard
Cox-Smith.
With the decorating just about finished, Viki and her team were on hand
to serve customers with a range of tapas and paella prepared by Attila.
"We were delighted at the support from the people of
Winchester," said Attila, "we had over 40 people booked in for our
first night."
